12PM Paper Bag Puppets with Chris Mariano and Harold Buchholz

We supply the paper bags and art supplies. You supply the imagination and voice when you create your own paper bag puppet! What will YOU create? We can’t wait to see!

1PM My Comic Story with Kata Kane

Every good story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Kata Kane, artist of ALTAR GIRL, GFFs: GHOST FRIENDS FOREVER, and ANA AND THE COSMIC RACE will do a live drawing of the audience’s best suggestions for a 4-panel mini comic story; sharing drawing tips and helpful comic-creator advice along the way. This is an interactive workshop where young artists will also get to create and draw their very own ideas on a 4-panel mini comic page.

2PM  Let’s go Lego! with Jason May

Lego cartoonist, Jason May, teaches you how to draw Lego versions of your favorite characters.

 

3PM Superhero & Villain Mash-UP with Jordan Jackson

Comic creator, John Gallagher, shares his insight on making comics and helps you create a silly villain and a perilous plot. How will the heroic Cat Crusader save the day? That’s up to you!

2PM Drawing Sketch Cards For Freelance Artists with Darren Soto 

In this session, Darren Soto will go through the fundamentals of drawing sketch cards and show some of his design techniques utilizing well-known and beloved characters. He is the best person to offer advice on how to make your sketch cards stand out.
